Corporate & Group Volunteers
When your corporation or group sponsors a South Shore Habitat Build Day, you offer your team a unique, hands-on opportunity to build affordable housing for hardworking families in need. South Shore Habitat welcomes groups of all kinds, including businesses, schools, faith groups, and community organizations. Your team will engage in a unique team-building experience. Building skills are not required. Our construction team is ready to teach you all you need to know!
Cost:
$2,500 - corporations, businesses, and generous supporters
$500 - discounted rate offered to non profits, schools, and faith groups.
Corporate & Group Build Days are organized to provide your group with a tailored and unforgettable experience, and your sponsorship will financially support the house under construction.
Your sponsorship includes:
- Up to 10 volunteers on build site for one day
- Greeting by SSHH; team orientation
- T-shirts for your team
- Photograph of your group
- Social media coverage and acknowledgement of your sponsorship and volunteerism.
Please note: if sponsorship is not the right option for your group, we offer free opportunities at our Individual Volunteer website.
Hours:
Build Days are from 8:30am to 3:30pm. We ask that all volunteers be present at 8:30 sharp for orientation and safety training.
Minimum Age on Build Sites:
The minimum age to volunteer is 18, however we value and welcome the efforts of volunteers between the ages of 16 and 17 and will work with organized school groups. Please note that there are limits on the type of construction work they can perform.
