Before we moved into our new [Habitat] home, our family was always under extreme stress. The cost of renting on the South Shore is extreme to say the least. Add to that the shortage of housing. We have moved five times in five years. Our children have had to change schools several times. Our rent was always so high; we always had trouble making ends meet. The basic need of housing was our biggest burden, and the weight of this stress was taking its toll on the our whole family.

Where We Build

Communities/Local Partnership Committees (LPCs)

Communities come together to build Habitat homes for neighbors they have yet to meet. In order to complete each build it is crucial to have a committee of local residents raising awareness and funding. Each community listed to the left is working towards building a home for a family in need. Please check out each town to see what each team is currently working on and how you can be of help.

LPC's are currently active in Brockton, Hanover, Hingham, Marshfield, Stoughton, and the Tri-Valley.
