Chad DAdamo

Chad D’Adamo is a Strategic Project Manager at Arbella Insurance Group headquartered in Quincy Massachusetts . Arbella Insurance is a regional leader in personal and business insurance in New England . Chad ’s received his MBA from Bentley University in 2005 and received his undergraduate degree from Stonehill College . He is experienced in corporate finance and project management and has lead various projects aimed at improving the company’s competitive position in the marketplace.

Chad volunteered to serve on the South Shore Habitat for Humanity finance committee in 2009 and was elected to the Board in 2010.

 Dan is the President of Strong Civil Design, LLC; a civil engineering firm located in Braintree, Massachusetts. Strong Civil Design assists South Shore Habitat for Humanity with land development layout, design, permitting, and civil engineering analysis for various projects. Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering at Colorado State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Massachusetts and Florida. Dan is also a LEED Accredited Professional and is OSHA 10 Certified.

Steve Bernstein

Steven L. Bernstein, P.E. is the President of SLB Group, LLC, a civil engineering consultant, located in Stoughton, Massachusetts and teaches Construction Management and Civil Engineering courses at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He provides civil engineering land development services for South Shore Habitat for Humanity as he provides the same for his clients throughout New England.

He is a graduate of Wentworth Institute (Associates Degree in Building Construction), University of Massachusetts-Amherst (BSCE) and Northeastern University (MSCE). Steven is past President of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers/ASCE.

Ian Brynjolfson

Outreach

Ian BrynjolfsonIan Brynjolfson is an Electrical Engineer at Advanced Micro Devices, an innovative technology company developing the next generation of computing and graphics solutions. Brynjolfson's engineering roles have included circuit design, implementation and system architecture in custom, ASIC and mixed-signal design.

Brynjolfson became involved with South Shore Habitat for Humanity in 2005 as a member of the Outreach Committee. His technical expertise was leveraged to maintain the website and online presence.Soon he became the Chair of the committee as it grew to encompass the functions of PR and Marketing. Brynjolfson became a member of the Board in 2009.

Brynjolfson received his Masters of Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. He is the author of several papers and Reports of Invention.

Chris Dunn

Chris DunnChris Dunn is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the South Shore Savings Bank headquartered in Weymouth Massachusetts. South Shore Savings is a state-chartered savings bank with total assets of $950 million. Dunn ‘s banking career spans over 35 years, with most of his career focused on real estate lending and mortgage banking. He holds the professional designation of Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. He is a two term past president and long time board member of the Massachusetts Mortgage Bankers Association (MMBA).

Until recently he was Chairman of the Massachusetts Bankers Association Real Estate Finance Committee. He currently serves as Chairman of ABA's Mortgage Markets and Lending Technology Committee. Dunn is a graduate of Amherst College and received his MBA in Finance at Boston College.

John GalvinJohn Galvin is a IT Global Account Manager at Johnson & Johnson, Headquartered in New Brunswick New Jersey. John has been volunteering with habitat for Humanity for over 25 years, starting with the founding of South Shore Habitat for Humanity where he server on the original Board of Directors. John has led multiple trips to work with Habitat International on Hurricane Katrina rebuilding and working with our sister affiliate in Santa Ana El Salvador.

John is a graduate of Northeastern University where he received a BS in Management and Boston University earning a MS in Computer Science. John and his wife Laurie live in Norwell and have three grown children all who have volunteered with Habitat.

Mark McKinnon

President

A cum laude graduate of Bentley University, Mr. McKinnon completed his MBA in finance at the University Of Massachusetts, Boston in 2007. Mr. McKinnon has been in the banking industry for more than 30 years. As an Executive Vice President and the CIO of the Dedham Institution for Savings, he is responsible for the technology, security, facilities and purchasing departments for the bank.

Mr. Mckinnon has been a member of the Board of Directors for the South Shore Habitat for Humanity since 2007. He served as Treasurer prior to being elected Board President in 2010.

 

 

Jennifer Morrison

Jennifer Morrison is President of J. Morrison Consulting, a business consulting company that uncovers profits, solves problems, improves organizations and exceeds our clients’ expectations. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt (process improvement consultant) with a successful track record of improving customer and employee satisfaction and slashing operating costs for over 13 years. She has led over 50 cross functional project teams achieving break-through results by using Six Sigma and other business methodologies. Her projects have spanned a wide variety of business areas from Finance to Product Management to Software Design. The combined estimated total savings is over $8 million or an average of $150,000 per project. She has also trained over 300 people in the Six Sigma methodology and facilitated numerous daylong strategy sessions with senior level managers. Her professional experience includes tenures with Ceridian, a human resources outsourcing company, Black and Decker, and since founding her own consulting company clients include South Shore Pool Supply and South Shore Habitat for Humanity.

Morrison received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Lehigh University, graduating with top honors. She has completed additional advanced coursework at the University College of London in London, England and the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed a graduate program at the University of Maryland focused on operations. Additionally she has 2 certifications in Six Sigma Black Belt, Lean, Design for Six Sigma, and Project Management.

 

Doug Noonan

Douglas W. Noonan, P.E. serves as Vice President and Head of Group Corporate Real Estate for the adidas Group, a world wide leader in the athletic footwear, apparel and equipment industry.

Doug assumed his current position with the adidas Group after its acquisition in 2006 of Reebok International Ltd, where he had served for 11 years as Director of Real Estate and Facilities. Prior to the adidas Group and Reebok, Doug was Vice President at Fidelity Properties Inc. (the real estate and facilities unit of Fidelity Investments) responsible for Design Services and Project Management. Prior to Fidelity, Doug was Manager of General and International Engineering at the Kendal Company in Boston and was a Project Engineer for the Colgate Palmolive Company in New Jersey.

During his 35 year career, Doug has been responsible for the development of significant and award winning office, manufacturing and logistics projects in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Panama, England, France, Holland, Germany, Russia, the Ukraine, India, China, Hong Kong and Japan. He is also a frequent panelist and presenter on real estate and construction topics for CoreNet Global-New England, AGC and Boston Society of Architects and other professional and industry associations. Doug is a Director and Past President of the New England Chapter of CoreNet Global, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a Director of the South Shore Habitat for Humanity Chapter in Massachusetts.

Doug is a graduate of Rutgers University, College of Engineering where he received a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. He is a registered Structural Engineer in Massachusetts.

Doug and his wife, Tanya, live in Norfolk, Massachusetts with their two sons, Tim and Patrick.

Christopher P. Thompson

VP Construction

Christopher ThompsonChristopher Thompson LEED AP, is a construction estimator with 17 years of experience. Chris works at Richard White Sons, Inc. a mid-sized family owned Construction Management and General Contracting firm in Newton, MA, where his duties include extensive pre-construction, planning and budgeting services as well as the preparation and submission of pricing and bids.

Mr. Thompson is a Graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, an Eagle Scout, a former Selectman, a member of the Association of General Contractors and is active in parish life at Our Lady Help of Christians Church in Newton. He resides in Waltham with his Wife and 2 young boys. His other interests include Family time, Travel, Skiing, Camping/Backpacking, Scuba & Cycling.

After being involved in all three of the Whitman Local Partnership committee builds in 1995, 1997 & 2007, Mr. Thompson joined the board in 2008 to aid in site selection, construction planning, budgeting and construction activities. He enjoys his work on the board and especially likes working with the Family Partners offering a “hand-up” vs. a hand-out.

Steven WesslingStephen J. Wessling is the founder and President of Wessling Architects a firm that he started in the basement of his home in 1992. Today, Wessling Architects located in Quincy, is a mid size award winning firm servicing more than 300 clients nationally and internationally.

Stephen is multi-disciplined architect with extensive experience on a variety of building types and sizes. He is a consultant to clients, colleagues and professional associations, presenting as an expert witness in building failure causes and remedies. Seminar topics include organic growth issues, building envelope failures, historic preservation, building use analysis (BOMA) and forensic architecture.

He is active in various capacities with several professional and community organizations. He the vice president of the New England Chapter RCI, Inc. as well as having affiliations with the Building Owners and Managers Association, American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects, Construction Specifications Institute, Internal Code Council, National Fire Protection Association, National Roofing Contractors Association and National Trust for Historic Preservation.

Stephen serves on the Board of Directors for the South Shore Habitat for Humanity, Development Board for My Brother's Keeper and Board of Directors for the Neighborhood Club of Quincy.

Prior to receiving a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Boston Architectural College in 1975, Stephen received Certification in Architectural and Structural Engineering at Weymouth Vocational Technical High School Postgraduate Program 1967.
Stephen and his wife Mary reside in Milton, MA. They have three children and six grandchildren. Stephen enjoys a variety of outdoor sports.
